Lignano Sabbiadoro 2025: concerts, events, sports and magic

  • 1

In a song from a few years ago, Thegiornalisti sang: “The end of summer and the chats in the bars”. With the arrival of September, it’s time to look back and reflect on what the 2025 season in Lignano Sabbiadoro has been. Looking back, it almost seems impossible to sum everything up in a few lines, because each day had its own special moment. A photographic recap would not be enough to relive the emotions, because what makes a holiday here unique are the experiences and the memories.

If there was a common thread that made hearts beat faster and set tourists and locals on fire, it was live music. Big names gifted unforgettable evenings: Cesare Cremonini lit up the Teghil Stadium with a spectacular show, Marco Mengoni moved the crowd with his unique voice, Ultimo made everyone sing out loud, Lazza thrilled the younger audience, while Nek and the Nomadi brought back great classics of Italian music. But the magic wasn’t only in the stadium: the Beach Arena lived an intense summer with free concerts that truly made music for everyone. Francesco Renga, with his “Angelo-Venti”, celebrated twenty years of his most beloved song; Cristina D’Avena with Gem Boy transformed the beach into a generational party where adults and children sang together the cartoon theme songs. The Oblivion brought laughter, while Stefano Bollani enchanted the public with a Piano Solo performance ranging from jazz to pure improvisation. Open, free, shared evenings that proved how in Lignano music really is a universal language.

But not only concerts: Lignano also offered cultural events and exhibitions of great value, such as “Photography, Architecture and Mosaic 1954-1972” or “By the Sea” by Elisabetta Mitrovic, blending art and landscape in a continuous dialogue with the territory. Culture mixed with conviviality thanks to food festivals like Easy Fish – Festival of Upper Adriatic Fish, food markets and tastings that showcased Friulian flavors and the maritime tradition.

Sports also found one of their greatest expressions in Lignano Sabbiadoro. The beach became a natural arena with events such as the Lignano SUP Race, Beach Bocce FVG Tour and the Youth Meeting “City of Lignano Sabbiadoro”, combining competition and community energy. In addition, the Bilboa Bobo Summer Cup Padel Tour 2025 returned from August 1 to 3 after the success of past editions. The event created by Christian “Bobo” Vieri brought not only padel matches between amateurs and VIPs, but also entertainment, charity and conviviality.

Then came September, which did not turn off the stage but moved it around, keeping alive the spirit of celebration, discovery and sharing. From September 5 to 7, the Lignano Europa – Flavours, Scents and Colours of Europe fair took place along the Kechler seafront, with street food, crafts and traditions from all over Europe. On September 14, the HammerFall concert set the Arena Alpe Adria on fire, one of the most awaited metal events in Italy, while on September 15, the Golden Sand – International Dance & Music Festival brought groups of European folk music and dance to Piazza Marcello d’Olivo. And as the highlight, from September 18 to 21, the Italian Bike Week 2025 returned as the official closing of the beach season: motorbikes, off-road tests, music, food and exhibitions across the city.

And then there is nature: dunes, pine forests, fiery sunsets over the sea, lagoon walks and morning silences. Lignano Sabbiadoro is not only about events but also about well-being, relaxation and contact with nature.

The most important events that animated Lignano Sabbiadoro in 2025 once again proved that this destination can reinvent itself and offer experiences for everyone: families, young people, culture lovers and nature enthusiasts.

And for those who think everything ends with summer, there is good news: Lignano continues to amaze even in autumn and winter. From bike tours with Sandy Wheels, to the triathlon championships in October, regattas in November, and the much-awaited December with Christmas by the Sea – Natale d’A…Mare. From December 7 to January 6, Lignano becomes a magical Christmas village with markets, Santa’s Village, the Village of Flavours, shows and the largest ice-skating rink in North-East Italy.

Adding to the magic, the traditional Sand Nativity, an international attraction, together with Christmas lights and decorations along the seafront and city center, make Lignano Sabbiadoro a unique destination to enjoy all year round.
