Until January 11, 2026, Lignano Sabbiadoro once again dresses in winter with Natale d’A…Mare, the event series that lights up the city with lights, music, and atmospheres capable of blending tradition with the surrounding landscape. Here, Christmas retains its warmth, with the scent of the sea as a backdrop. Squares, avenues, and parks are transformed into luminous settings, while the calendar guides residents and visitors along a journey of meetings, shows, and shared moments, designed for families and for those seeking a different kind of holiday, even outside the high season.
The celebrations begin in Piazza Fontana, where the atmosphere gathers around the large Christmas tree and the ice-skating rink (500 square meters, the largest circular rink in the Northeast), which naturally becomes a meeting point. People arrive to skate, stop to listen to the music, and stay to enjoy the city at a slower, more festive pace. Nearby, the walk continues through the wooden chalets of the Villaggio del Regalo, where flavors, aromas, and small gift ideas complete the experience, turning every stop into a moment of conviviality. The route then leads to the Santa Claus Village in Parco San Giovanni Bosco, where Santa Claus will be present to receive children’s letters, along with many other attractions for the enjoyment of the whole family.
Beyond the central streets, this year an area dedicated to fully experiencing the beauty of the most evocative season of the year is available at Beach Office 5 in Sabbiadoro. Beach umbrellas, sunbeds, and deckchairs create moments of relaxation, accompanied by the sound of the waves and a unique Christmas atmosphere that only this beach can offer.
Making the winter edition even more special is the Sand Nativity Scene, which brings art to the beach and invites visitors to rediscover the Nativity in an original and evocative form, capable of telling the story of Christmas from a different perspective, blending creativity and reflection with the theme “Mary, in the name of women. A feminine journey through the Gospels and our time.” Nearby, spaces dedicated to children—with the Christmas Village and the presence of Santa Claus—give the event its family-oriented character, which year after year makes it a highly anticipated occasion.
On December 30, before the New Year celebrations begin in earnest, the program also makes room for younger visitors with the Children’s New Year’s Eve in Parco San Giovanni Bosco, featuring games and entertainment designed for children and families. As the year approaches its most symbolic moment, Lignano chooses to celebrate it in the square: on the night of December 31, starting at 9:30 pm, between Viale Gorizia and Piazza Fontana, the New Year’s Eve in the Square 2026 party will begin with the speakers and DJs of Radio PiterPan, welcoming the new year with energy, music, and a frame of lights that makes the wait for midnight an integral part of the experience.
Providing the soundtrack to the first days of the new year, the program also features major live events: on January 1, Lignano welcomes Arisa for a concert that blends emotion and celebration, while on January 2 it will be Valerio Scanu’s turn, for another shared musical moment that continues the New Year’s atmosphere among audiences, lights, and the desire to come together. Music continues on January 4 with the concert by Monte Carlo Nights Show – Nick The Nightfly & 5tet Band.
The story then continues through Epiphany with an event that immediately connects tradition and the sea: the Pignarûl on the beach, featuring the lighting of the bonfire and the arrival of the Befana from the sea, organized in collaboration with the Alpini Group of Lignano Sabbiadoro, scheduled for January 5 at Beach Office 7. It is one of those moments that close the holiday season in the most authentic way, bringing together community, symbols, and the charm of winter by the sea.
Lignano awaits you to experience the magic of the holidays with the scent of the sea in the air.
