The 5th theater season of Lignano Sabbiadoro continues very well: here are the next events scheduled at the Cinecity theatre!
NEW THEATER SEASON IN LIGNANO SABBIADORO
Through the experience of the theatre, with its universal and iconic language, the spectators are enriched and enhanced. Live a unique experience thanks to the 5th theater season of Cinecity, a place that has become the “cultural treasure chest” of the city, realized in collaboration with the Ente Regionale Teatrale del Friuli Venezia Giulia.
SHOW “LA MUSICA DEL CINEMA”
After the first shows “Alla ricerca della felicità” by Simone Cristicchi and “La vedova Socrate” by Franca Valeri with Lella Costa, on the 15th of February takes place the show of Busoni
Orchestra, accompanied by the accordion of Gianni Fassetta and directed by Massimo Belli, interpreting some of the most famous soundtracks in the history of cinema.
The historical and well-known Orchestra da Camera “Ferruccio Busoni” was founded in 1965 by Aldo Belli and is one of the first chamber orchestras born in Italy after the Second World War, as
well as the oldest in the region Friuli Venezia Giulia. The orchestra has attracted the attention of audiences and critics by giving hundreds of concerts in Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Tunisia and Italy, with exceptional soloists and several world premieres. In addition, the orchestra has recorded numerous Cds for record companies such as Velut Luna, Concerto Classics, Brilliant Classics, Warner Classics and Amadeus presenting songs in world premiere recording of important composers.
During the concert on 15 February, the Busoni Orchestra will play the most iconic music taken from the scenes of the great films of Italian and international cinema. There will be musical compositions by Carlos Gardel with “El dia que me quieras” and “Por una cabeza” or those by Astor Piazzolla with “Milonga dell’Angel”, “Oblivion” and “Libertango”, till “Sabrina” and “Schindler List” by John Williams.
There will be also famous compositions from the Italian cinema such as “C’era una volta il west”, “Mission” and “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” by Ennio Morricone, but also “Il padrino” and “Romeo e Giulietta” by Nino Rota, “Il postino” by Bacalov and the beautiful “La vita è bella” by Nicola Piovani.

OTHER SHOWS
The theatre season will continue until March with the following shows:
- Thursday, February 24, 2022 – “La vita davanti a sé” by Romain Gary with Silvio Orlando and the Orchestra Terra Madre Ensemble;
- Thursday, March 10, 2022 – “Affari di famiglia” by Antonella Questa with Ilaria Marchianò;
- Friday 18 March 2022 – “Ballantini&Petrolini” written and starring by Dario Ballantini and directed by Massimo Licinio.
SHOW TIMES AND RULES COVID-19 AT THE THEATRE
All shows scheduled will start at 20.42 pm.
Admission to the Theatre is allowed in compliance with the rules for the containment of the pandemic from Covid-19 and upon presentation of the Green Certification Covid-19 (Green Pass) and an identity document. Inside the theatre it is mandatory to use the mask.
TICKET PRICE AND PRE-SALE TICKETS
The ticket price for each show is:
- Full ticket € 18,00;
- Reduced ticket € 15,00.
For the purchase of tickets and subscriptions it is necessary to contact the ticket office of the theater Cinecity, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 18.30 to 20.30 and during cinema hours (every Saturday from 20.30 to 21.30 and Sundays from 15.30 to 19.30). It is also possible to buy tickets online on vivaticket.com.
